Our 1st Year Div 1 Team hosted Enniscorthy at home and from tip off the action was electric, with both teams creating many chances at goal. Boyne pushed hard and finally broke through to score the opening goal. Enniscorthy came back fighting and soon after managed to equalise the score. With all to play for both teams fought up and down the pitch. Then, Enniscorthy scored hotly contested goal. While challenged; the goal stood. This was fuel to the Boyne fire, who pushed until finally they scored the equaliser. 2-2 at the final whistle. So it went to 1v1’s. Boyne went 1st and put it in the net. Enniscorthys 1st attempt was saved by the Boyne goalie. Boyne’s 2nd attempt also found the back of the net perfectly. With victory within grasp, the Boyne Goalie rushed out as the Enniscorthy player started her attack and when the shot was taken, it went wide and which put Boyne on the road to the finals.
